"I don’t call myself a songwriter but I do have stories to tell.

I don’t call myself a singer but I want to tell my stories myself."
- Clint Chandler
Since 2010, I've played guitar, mandolin, and banjo for a successful pop/country trio out of Nashville called Lady A (formerly Lady Antebellum). I am extremely thankful for the job but I also have a constant need to be creative and make my own music. I have written and recorded my own songs since I was 14 when I hijacked my father's four track cassette recorder.

I was raised on country music so storytelling definitely shows up in my songwriting but I choose to avoid the trucks and backroad stories. I am a bit of an introvert so expressing myself hasn't always been easy. Writing songs became a way for me to open up about thoughts and dreams and tell imaginary tales of people and places. Songwriting has been extremely therapeutic for me. With my songs, I'm not trying to change the world, I'm just trying to change myself for the better.

I have a history of playing all of my instruments myself, recording and mixing everything at home. I do know that collaboration is king so I've been working on that. Lately, I've been lucky enough to have a few friends provide a variety of instruments and engineering skills to some of my music.
My plan is for each recording to be a statement of where I am at that moment; technically, musically, and emotionally. Good or bad.
I hope to eventually look back and see a positive progression from
one release to the next, each with more interesting stories and sounds than the last.
